Swansong

Personal ongoing project assisted by Eleanor Flynn

"She danced the dying swan to save herself but she never could stop living the fantasy. This was an adult childhood , a way to be free but something stopped her from breathing. The innocence was not real. "

Swan song II

When I was younger we used to go on trips to the park every evening to see the swans. It was beautiful and summer was good. We would wait for the cygnets to pop put from their eggs and then we would watch them grow. Moor hens would paddle about in the sultry water and the night sky would ring songs. The white majesty built her fortress on the lake, making a palace out of nature. I learned to love the sky for its feeling. Watched the bats swoop and dive. I don't know when this stopped but the swans are in my heart. Fierce, wild, beautiful creatures. They love for life and bond the soul of the currents. The young quickly fly away and escape on adventure living in pure whiteness. Swan song plays in my limbs. The remembrance of a child and heart of humanity. To be.

When I grow up I want to be a princess.

Ok it has been the day we have all been waiting for (or as most of us would have you believe - not waiting for.) I am no better than the next person. Everyone has been grumbling about how they don't care. . . Romance is dead?! But what an amazing event!
Kate looked absolutely beautiful. There is no doubt that the dress was perfect for the occasion (ok not everyone's choice - not mine - but for her and for the royal ceremony it was stunning). She looked dignified and beautiful. A true princess. Sarah Burton did absolutely fantastically!
Prince William looked.. well silly! But he is a Prince and it is not his fault he is growing more identical to Charles by the day!
I am still not a Royalist. And yes in reality the hype is ridiculous. I didn't even watch all the ceremony but to be part of this day is something.
No body can fail to be swept away from the magic of marriage today. All i wanted when I was younger was to be a princess. A very different kind of princess but all the same, today has been any girls dream.

Simply stunning!

Lolita

"Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock. She was Lola in slacks. She was Dolly at school. She was Dolores on the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Lolita. Did she have a precursor? She did, indeed she did. In point of fact, there might have been no Lolita at all had I not loved, one summer, an initial girl- child. In a princedom by the sea."

welcome to the world of toys...

Taking my little sister to Hamley's was one of the best bits of christmas so far. She had never been before and the reaction, for a serious child, was astounding. I barely et to see her and Hamley's was magical. She loved it... but still I am the bigger child!

Toys are magic let us get lost in a land of make believe. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE

Mouth open amazement!
